Dutch or possibly German Art Deco Chair, circa 1925

A robust and characterful Art Deco chair, probably Dutch or German (found in Netherlands, close to the border with German), dating to around 1925. The design is defined by its architectural shape, with panelled sides and a modernist and robust oak.

The side panels are decorated on both the inside and outside with geometric walnut detailing, adding a refined ornamental note to the otherwise restrained construction.

A compact but substantial chair with a strong silhouette and a expressive presence.

The wood has been cleaned and nourished while preserving patina. The upholstery is vintage; the seat is removable, making reupholstery easy if desired.

Because of the dimensions and complicated packing in a triple carton made to measure box, the shipment costs are costprice or less. Its always insured and will arrive within 10 days worldwide.
