Laphroaig Cairdeas 15 Years, 43%, 700ml is a velvety soft, amber colored single malt whiskey. This variant is part of the 'Friends of Laphroaig' series, and is limited. For fifteen years this single malt has been allowed to mature in first fill bourbon barrels, which not only gives it its color but also its pleasant, tame aroma. Slightly medicinal with notes of iodine and a rather soft touch of peat. Sweet, with present notes of vanilla and grapefruit, baked pineapple and deliciously sweet honey. Its texture in general is somewhat thin with a sweet start of honey and vanilla wrapped around a core of baked pineapple. The empty spaces filled with notes of bourbon and apple. This whole is underpinned by notes of tobacco and peat combined with the fresh character traits of citrus.
