Meble dziecięce - Stary dziecięcy wysokim krzesełko z możliwością przekształcenia w wózek - Dąb, Koła żelazne - Styl wiktoriański
Antique children's furniture. Convertible high chair/pram (also known as a "high chair/pram," "go-cart," or "high chair-pram"), for domestic use. Pieces of this type were common in European homes at the end of the 19th century and are now primarily valued as decorative and collectible items.
Solid wood frame with turned elements (probably oak, commonly used at the time), cane seat, and small iron wheels. Original period joinery. The tray is foldable or removable, and the convertible mechanism is operated by simple, traditional mechanical joints and locks.
Formal Victorian/fin-de-siècle style: turned uprights and crossbars, understated decoration on the backrest and seat, and small wheels for easy movement. The convertible design (high chair and pram positions) is typical of 1870–1900.
The piece is in very good condition for its age: intact and functional structure, complete cane seat without breaks, slight wear consistent with use and age, screws consistent with the period, and convertible tray and mechanism in working order. Minor marks and general patina are present.
Chair measurements: 105 × 45 × 75 cm (height × width × depth).
Stroller Measurements: 78 x 45 x 102 cm. (height × width × depth).
Weight: 6 kg. approx.
This style reflects the rise of multifunctional children's furniture in the late 19th century, coinciding with the development of strollers and hygiene solutions.
Domestic use: served as a high chair for feeding and as an indoor stroller by reconfiguring the base. Over time, these pieces have come to have a primarily decorative or museum use due to evolving child safety regulations.
As a utilitarian piece of furniture, its interest lies in its representation of late Victorian functional design, the woodturning, and the persistence of traditional techniques (cannage).
Given the fragility, weight and size of the lot, it must be collected in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain.
