Epoka brązu Brązowy Imponujący wisior z otwartym wzorem Sun-Wheel - 68 mm
Culture: Northern / Eastern European Bronze Age
Date: ca. 800–300 BC
Material: Bronze
Dimensions: Diameter ca. 68 mm
Condition: Intact, with an attractive dark green patina and minor encrustation consistent with age. Mounted on a modern leather cord for display.
A rare and impressive openwork bronze disc with a radiating sun-wheel design, dating to the Bronze Age / Early Metal Age (ca. 800–300 BC).
The ornament consists of an outer circular frame connected by seven radiating spokes to a smaller inner ring with subtle lobed projections.
Objects of this type are interpreted as solar symbols, representing the movement of the sun and its life-giving power — one of the central motifs in Bronze Age cosmology. Such pieces likely served as amulets, ritual ornaments, or decorative mounts in elite or ceremonial contexts.
A fine example of Bronze Age openwork metal art and an evocative representation of prehistoric solar symbolism.
