Beautiful antique solid silver pocket watch, manufactured in Paris in the late 19th century.
The case bears the French crab hallmark, indicating 800/1000 silver, as well as the master maker’s mark F.W., attributed to Fourcot & Wybo, watchmakers active in Paris between 1878 and 1881.
The watch features a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, a railway minute track, and a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, typical of French watchmaking of the period. The hands are of a classic style.
The manual-winding mechanical movement is visible under the rear cover and shows a traditional architecture with steel bridges and brass gears.
