Color: gold. Nose: initially soft, sweet aromas of honeycomb, stewed fruit, fresh sawdust, and vanilla. Subsequently, it becomes even richer with notes of chocolate and freshly roasted nuts, and also becomes waxier and spicier (ground allspice, licorice, pepper). The longer it sits in the glass, the more complex it becomes. Taste: again distinct notes of honey and wax, now beautifully complemented by malty and wine-like aromas. Very broad in flavor. Next, notes of vanilla, sweet spices, and something grassy emerge. The finish is delightfully round and warming with distinct spicy wood notes and an accent of caramel.
