CÁLICE DE IGREJA ANTIGO COM ESTOJO

An antique liturgical chalice with its original protective case, used for the celebration of the Holy Mass.

The chalice is made of silver. Austro-Hungarian, 1820.
The cup (interior) shows typical wear consistent with age and liturgical use.

The body is richly decorated:
• engraved and repoussé ornamentation with floral and Eucharistic motifs (grapes and wheat),
• fluted lower cup,
• decorative node on the stem,
• wide circular base with detailed engraving.

Hallmarks present (visible on the cup and base), indicating Austro-Hungarian manufacture.

The chalice comes with its original fitted case, covered in leather with gold tooling. The interior structure suggests it was custom-made to protect the object.

• good overall condition for its age,
• visible patina, surface wear, and minor scratches,
• no major structural damage,
• case worn with signs of age (scuffs, abrasions).
