A beautiful example of mid-century Mediterranean studio art glass, handmade by the renowned Mdina Glass workshop in Malta. Designed during the golden era of the studio (circa 1970s), this vase features the highly collectible "Tortoiseshell" pattern. It boasts an organic blend of deep amber, warm ochre, and rich brown tones, highlighted by a diagonal trail of green-yellow inclusion "eyes" and countless trapped micro-bubbles that catch the light beautifully. The vase features a heavy, square-sectioned base transitioning into a flared rim. Fully authentic, featuring the hand-engraved "Mdina" signature on the polished pontil base.
