Illustrated with superb colour plates by Arthur Rackham, dated and signed, all in nice condition. Black and white illustrations, decorations, map. 291 pages. Minor marks, majority clean. Endpapers, drawn illustrations in brown, initialled A.R, tanned on one side and front one small area of loss at bottom corner. Of historical interest, inscription in the ‘belongs to’ box, dated 1911, ‘the father and sons at Inglegarth’. Inglegarth possibly a large old arts and crafts house in Windermere, the Lake District. Large hardback, green, to front elaborately decorated in gilt. Slight lean to front board and small rubbed off area at bottom. Spine with gold titles and illustrations, slightly sunned, frayed edges top and bottom. No loose pages, all 12 plates present.
