This rare Glenburgie Finest Highland Malt Whisky was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 1981 to commemorate the royal wedding of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer on 29 July 1981. It is a unique vatting of whiskies distilled in 1948 and 1961, created as a limited commemorative release. Bottled at 40% ABV in the traditional 75 cl format, it reflects the elegant Speyside style for which Glenburgie is renowned. The whisky presents refined aromas of honey, dried apricots, vanilla, polished oak and delicate floral notes. On the palate it is smooth, rich and beautifully mature, revealing layers of toffee, orchard fruits, gentle spices, citrus peel and soft oak, leading to a long, elegant and well-balanced finish.
