Girard-Perregaux Classique Ref. 4952 – 18K Rose Gold – Automatic – Complete with Original Box & Manuals

Offered for auction is an elegant Girard-Perregaux Classique, reference 4952, crafted in 18K rose gold and powered by the renowned Girard-Perregaux Manufacture Calibre GP3300 automatic movement.

This classic Swiss timepiece features a timeless ivory dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, small seconds at 9 o’clock and a date display at 3 o’clock. The sapphire exhibition case back reveals the beautifully finished in-house manufacture movement.

The watch was purchased new by the original owner in the early 2000s and has been very lightly worn and carefully preserved by its original owner. For most of its life it remained stored in its original presentation box.

Due to long-term storage in the same position, the original leather strap has developed the natural curvature and storage marks expected from being kept around the original presentation cushion for many years. This is a normal characteristic of an original leather strap and is not the result of excessive wear.

Condition

The watch is in excellent overall condition and has been very lightly worn.

It was recently inspected by Torres Joalheiros (Portugal), where it was confirmed to be functioning correctly. According to their assessment, no maintenance was considered necessary for normal use.

The original manufacturer’s warranty has naturally expired due to the age of the watch. Should the future owner wish to obtain a new service warranty, this can be obtained through a service carried out by Girard-Perregaux or an authorised service centre.

The original presentation box is included and shows deterioration to the interior lining caused by age, a common occurrence with vintage watch boxes, and this does not affect the watch itself.
