The dark-stained wooden frame has developed an attractive natural patina over the decades, with visible grain and traces of use that emphasize the authentic vintage character of the piece. The seat is upholstered in a decorative floral tapestry fabric in warm, muted tones. Particularly interesting is the traditional construction visible underneath the seat: wide interwoven upholstery webbing fixed to the wooden frame, demonstrating an older method of furniture construction.
