The first inking will be done by its new owner, I only tested the mechanical flow with testing ink, then flushed it fully. This pen is great for anyone looking for an out of the factory experience with a vintage Montblanc pen. The nib is 18K gold, specific to the top line Meisterstück models, and is very smooth and pleasurable in writing. The pen is not scratched, not cracked and is very shiny and clean! The pen was also tested and it flows beautifully! According to the MB catalogues and to the preserved factory sticker of the 70s, the nib is fine (F class) and of Z - hooded type.
