This work is a printed ukiyo-e edition released in the 1970s by the Japanese news agency Kyodo News (Kyōdō Tsushinsha). It is a faithful reproduction of Utagawa Hiroshige’s “The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō” (Hoeidō edition). Unlike ordinary modern printing, the colors are reproduced with exceptional accuracy, making it nearly indistinguishable from an original woodblock print when viewed from the front.
