This Citizen Homer is a manual-winding wristwatch produced in 1961, during a period when Citizen focused on creating reliable and well-finished everyday mechanical watches. The Homer series represents Citizen’s core hand-wound lineup of the time, balancing practicality with refined design. The watch features a silver dial with applied gold-tone hour markers and a distinctive diamond-cut bezel that adds an elegant and decorative character to the overall appearance. The diamond-cut detail is positioned inside the crystal, giving the bezel a subtle depth and a refined visual effect. Age-related spots and surface wear are present on the dial, consistent with long-term use, and can be clearly seen in the photographs. The original design and proportions remain intact, giving the watch an authentic vintage expression. The watch is equipped with a 21-jewel manual-winding movement. Para Shock shock protection and a Phynox hairspring are indicated on the dial, reflecting Citizen’s emphasis on durability and stable performance during this era. Time setting is performed by pulling the crown, and the hands move smoothly. The case measures approximately 34.5 mm in diameter. A new leather strap is currently fitted.
