Medeltida, Korstågstiden Vacker korsamulet – symbol för tro och skydd (Utan reservationspris)
Bronze cross pendant, likely dating to the Byzantine or Crusader period (Early Medieval). The cross is formed with expanded arms ending in rounded terminals and features a central lozenge-shaped boss decorated with incised geometric cross-hatched motifs. Each arm shows stepped, architectural shaping, typical of early medieval metalwork.
The surface displays a stable, dark patina with areas of lighter oxidation, consistent with age and long-term burial. The proportions and decorative treatment suggest the object functioned as a religious amulet or devotional pendant, worn suspended from a cord or chain.
Such crosses were commonly worn for personal devotion and protection, and examples are known from Byzantine territories as well as regions influenced by Crusader presence.
