This Roman phallic amulet (fascinum), formed as a pendant with an integral suspension loop at the top. The obverse is dominated by a stylized phallic motif, rendered in relief and framed by a series of small raised bosses along the perimeter. The modeling is schematic yet deliberate, emphasizing the symbolic function of the object rather than anatomical realism.
The reverse depicts a stylized human face in low relief, featuring rounded eyes, a long nose, and a linear mouth. The facial features are worn but remain clearly legible, suggesting prolonged use or burial. The surface of the amulet displays a dark brown to reddish patina consistent with aged copper alloy.
