伊藤寛城 Ito Kanjo (b 1885) Born in Mie Prefecture in 1885. He loved painting from childhood and studied Nanshu school under his uncle, and later moved to Tokyo to study Shijo school under Suzuki Sekijo. with signature 'Kanjo sansho' 寛城山撨 and seal 'Itozen in' 伊藤善 印 'Kanjo' 寛城 A tranquil Japanese antique hanging scroll (kakejiku) by Ito Kanjo (b. 1885), depicting a serene spring landscape with blossoming plum trees and a rustic hermitage nestled among the hills. The soft brushwork and gentle composition evoke the quiet renewal of early spring, reflecting Kanjo’s sensitivity to seasonal transitions. Born in Mie Prefecture, Kanjo studied the Nanshu school under his uncle and later trained in the Shijo school under Suzuki Sekijo in Tokyo.
