Charmante paire de serre-livres en fonte représentant deux toucans aux couleurs vives : bec dégradé jaune-orange et rouge, plumage noir, gorge et joues blanches, œil jaune. Chaque toucan est posé sur un petit rocher rose et fixé sur une base rectangulaire en fonte noire patinée. Style animalier décoratif typique des années 1970. Bon état général. La peinture présente quelques usures et traces d’usage normales pour l’âge (notamment sur les becs et les bases). Aucune cassure ni manque important. Poids de chaque serre-livre environ 1500 g. Charming pair of cast iron bookends representing two brightly colored toucans: yellow-orange to red gradient beak, black plumage, white throat and cheeks, yellow eye. Each toucan stands on a small pink rock and is fixed on a rectangular black patinated cast iron base. Typical decorative animalier style from the 1970s. Good overall condition. The paint shows some normal wear and traces of use for the age (especially on the beaks and bases). No major breaks or missing parts. Weight of each bookend approx. 1500 g.
