The hand forged axe has an elongated form with a narrow blade expanding slightly towards the cutting edge. The opposite end is shaped into a stylised terminal with projecting elements. -> During the Iron Age, Central Europe is already a permanent home of Celtic tribes. The Celts were excellent ironmakers and smiths and this flat axe is a splendid example of workmanship. Celtic iron axes were highly valued for their strength and utility, only used not only in in battle but also in everyday life such as farming and ceremonial rituals.
