This Tibetan Buddhist figure of White Tara is cast in a single piece of brass. Depicted in a posture of royal ease (*lalitasana*), White Tara wears a jeweled crown; her right hand forms the *Abhaya Mudra* (gesture of fearlessness), while her left hand holds an *Utpala* flower. Her overall form conveys an air of solemnity and compassion. The folds of her robes and the ornaments of her crown are accented with gilding, while her garments feature finely chiseled motifs of scrolling floral vines. The double-tiered lotus pedestal is exquisitely carved, showcasing superb craftsmanship.
White Tara is one of the "Three Deities of Longevity" in Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing longevity and divine protection. Venerating her is believed to dispel calamities, extend one's lifespan, and ensure peace and prosperity.
Condition: Shows signs of aging.
