VINIFICATION
Ferreirinha Aguardente Velha de Vinhos Verdes is obtained through careful distillation of selected Vinhos Verdes, mainly from the Lousada region. These are vinified with the necessary care to obtain a good distillation, presenting the characteristics required by the designation of origin to which it belongs. Distillation is processed using the Charentais method, or double passage, at the facilities of the Vinhos Verdes Regional Wine Commission. The spirit is transported to Ferreira's facilities in Vila Nova de Gaia, where it is carefully aged in 270-liter French oak barrels. During the aging period, it is subject to tasting, racking and dilutions, with the final batch being made with spirits of different ages (between 5 and 30 years old), reaching a final average age of around 20 years. The final batch is then cold stabilized and bottled. The aging and treatment of Ferreirinha Aguardente Velha de Vinhos Verdes allows it to maintain its characteristics and fresh tasting notes for some time.

TASTING NOTES
It presents an attractive golden yellow color, with greenish tones, typical of prolonged aging in wooden casks. It is a delicate spirit, with a rich aroma dominated by vinous notes, softened and complexed by its aging through oxidation in wooden vessels. Despite its long aging, it is a smooth spirit with a fine and delicate finish, presenting the final persistence typical of an old Vinho Verde brandy of excellent quality.

SERVING
Excellent as a digestive, served in a cognac glass. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at a temperature of 16ºC. Consume in moderation.
