Vintage Black Eames DSR fiberglass chair The black fiberglass shell was manufactured by Herman Miller in the period 1959-89. The shell is generally in good condition with natural patina. There is a vertical line that was a production flaw on the front of the back. The shell had originally fabric on the front but a previous owner removed this to show the fiberglass on both sides. Therefore there was three small holes in the lower seat surface that have been professionel filled with black epoxy as shown on the pictures(marked with pink) - it is hard to see it, so you need to know, to be able to spot it. The shell has newer shock mounts in great condition. The shell is mounted on a newer original chrome Eiffel base made by Vitra in 2011 - the original stamp are included for documentation of originality and age. The base is in good condition and has natural signs of use but have been carefully cleaned and handpolished, so it look as good as possible. The base has brand new Vitra black glides. The pictures have been taken in natural day - therefore you can see reflection of light on the chair. The chair will be very carefully packed and shipped with UPS.
