The blend is 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay, sourced from 21 crus — mainly Aÿ and Verzenay for Pinot Noir, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oiry for Chardonnay. Fermented entirely in old oak barrels, riddled and disgorged by hand. Disgorged July/August 2019. On the palate: an intense spine of acidity drives tightly meshed flavors of crushed black currant, ground coffee, candied grapefruit peel and toasted almond.
