Elegant antique two-piece vanity set consisting of a hand mirror and a clothes/hair brush with beautifully embossed floral and scroll decoration. The pieces are covered in sterling silver and display a refined Art Nouveau / Edwardian style with richly chased repoussé ornamentation. Both pieces bear clear silver hallmarks. From the photographs I can identify: * “STERLING” (on the brush) * 925 silver standard (sterling silver = 92.5% pure silver) * Additional maker’s marks/registration marks appear to be present but are not fully legible from the photographs. This indicates that the silver mounts are sterling silver (925/1000), likely of British or American manufacture, dating approximately to the early 20th century (circa 1900–1930). The mirror retains its original bevelled glass, and the brush still has its original cream-coloured bristles. The decorative silver work is finely executed with floral motifs and scrolling leaves on both pieces. Condition * Good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. * Light surface scratches, minor wear and small dents/irregularities consistent with age. * Some patina and tarnishing to the silver. * Brush bristles show age-related wear. * Mirror glass appears intact with minor signs of age.
