Antique 1920s Royal Pharmacist Syringe – Arnold and Sons, John Bell & Croyden - Wigmore St. London. A superb professional-grade surgical syringe by the legendary London makers Arnold & Sons and John Bell & Croyden. This instrument dates to the early 20th-century merger of these two giants, who famously held the Royal Warrant as pharmacists to the British Sovereign. Measuring 22cm, this chromed-brass model features a specialised side-port nozzle, indicating its use as a sophisticated stomach pump or clinical irrigation tool. The original brass maker's plaque remains beautifully affixed, citing the historic 50-52 Wigmore Street, London address—the heart of the Harley Street medical district. Condition Report: The syringe is in excellent mechanical condition. The original chrome plating has softened over the decades, revealing the warm brass beneath in a stunning "shabby chic" antique patina. A perfect display piece for a medical professional or a collector of London’s "Royal" history. This item is offered strictly as a curiosity/collectable only with no practical purpose.
