This Ancient Roman Terracotta Votive Juglet dates to approximately the 1st–3rd Century AD.
Formed from a rich, reddish earthenware clay, this miniature single-handled pouring vessel features an elegant ovoid profile, a gently flared neck, and a sturdy loop strap handle anchoring the rim to the lower body shoulder.
Miniature pottery vessels of this nature were frequently used throughout the Roman provinces and the Eastern Mediterranean as devotional ex-votos. They were left at sacred shrine altars, temples, or funerary complexes as symbolic offerings to pagan deities or as petitions for spiritual intervention.
