Produced by the historic Bodegas Bilbaínas, Viña Pomal is a classic Rioja Reserva made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. The wine was matured for 18 months in American oak barrels, giving it an elegant and traditional Rioja character. It displays an intense cherry-red colour and expressive aromas of ripe red fruit, vanilla, sweet spices and subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is balanced and persistent, with ripe tannins, good structure and a smooth, pleasant finish. A versatile Rioja that pairs beautifully with roast meat, lamb, game, charcuterie, stews and mature cheeses. The wine is ready to drink now but can also be kept for further development under suitable cellar conditions.
