Genuine Reclaimed Polished Aluminium Dome Light Give your walls a touch of real ship history with this lovely polished aluminium dome light. Each one comes straight from old cargo and passenger ships that crossed the seas between the 1950s and 1980s. Our team in Europe gently cleans and polishes it, keeping all the original character but making sure it’s ready for your home today. This light is built from strong marine-grade aluminium that copes easily with damp spots. At 2 kg, you can feel how solid it is when you hold it – proper sturdy quality, nothing like the thin, flimsy versions you sometimes see. The smooth dome shape throws out a nice, even glow that works brilliantly in hallways, bathrooms, or even sheltered outdoor spots. Take a look at similar pieces in our reclaimed industrial lamps or vintage brass nautical wall lights. Frequently Asked Questions How do you pack aluminium lights? We wrap each one carefully in double boxes with lots of protective foam. Every order is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely. Is this an original ship light or a copy? It’s 100% original. We take them straight from old working ships and restore them in Europe – nothing reproduced. Does it include wiring or a bulb? No, we supply just the fixture with its E27 holder. You’ll need to add your own wiring and bulb – LED ones work great and stay cool. Is it okay for bathrooms or outdoors? Yes, the IP56 rating means it’s fine for bathrooms or covered outdoor areas like patios. Can I buy several for a café or hotel? Absolutely – just message our team for trade prices, bulk options, or pre-orders. What if it’s shown as out of stock? Drop us a line – we often hold pieces back or find similar originals for you.
