Japanese Reticulated Porcelain Vase with Iris Motif – Early 20th Century
Beautiful Japanese porcelain vase with pierced decoration and hand-painted underglaze blue iris flowers. The tall, elegant shape is adorned with a reticulated honeycomb pattern across the body, with blooming irises and long leaves rising from the base to the shoulder. A separate inner tube allows the vase to hold water without affecting the pierced outer structure.
The base is marked, possibly by Noritake (M), though the exact maker remains unidentified.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. Two minor firing marks from the kiln and some light interior stains near the bottom (not visible when in use).
Height: 28.5 cm
Diameter: 14 cm
Net weight: approx. 1700 g
A lovely decorative vase with a classic floral design and fine craftsmanship from early 20th century Japan.
