Citizen - Flyback Automatic 8100 cal. Chronograph Mens Watch

Description

A fully original vintage model in excellent condition, preserved beautifully to this day, featuring an attractive dial layout and case design. This watch is a high-beat automatic chronograph with day and date functions. It is worth noting that the Japanese were among the first to produce automatic chronographs. This Citizen model runs at 28,800 beats per hour.

The PVD coating suits the watch perfectly and remains largely intact on this well-preserved black-dial vintage piece. All lume plots are present and glow brightly under UV light. The sub-dial features 5-minute blue sectors, indicating that the watch could be used as a yacht-timer for race starts. Additionally, it includes a tachymeter scale (used to measure average vehicle speed).

This automatic chronograph was produced around the mid-1970s. The case diameter is 38 mm, thickness 12.8 mm, and lug-to-lug length 45 mm. The 23-jewel Caliber 8100 was introduced in 1972. The watch runs accurately, and the chronograph resets correctly. The flat mineral crystal is in good condition.

The crystal has some scratches.
