One of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Burgundy, Maison Régnard was founded in 1860 by Mr. Zéphir Regnard. In 1984 Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took over the domain and since then he has continued and improved the style of the wines. The Baron has chosen to expand his prestigious home into the capital of Burgundy wines, settling in the heart of the old town of Beaune in a majestic mansion with 18th century cellars. The Chardonnay grapes for this Regnard Bourgogne are harvested manually. After harvest, the grapes are carefully taken to the wine cellar, where they are destemmed and pressed after strict control and selection. Only the best juice is good enough to carry the Regnard label. That is why the grapes are strictly controlled. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in thermally regulated steel vats. The malolactic fermentation takes place 2/3 in steel and 1/3 in wood. After a short maturing period, the Chardonnay is bottled and you can enjoy it. The color of the Regnard Bourgogne Chardonnay is bright, sparkling yellow and the scent is very beautiful with notes of sweet, ripe fruit, caramel; clean, slightly oily, subtle and with a floral touch. The taste has a strong attack, concentrated and refined; beautiful flavor continuation, soft acid and an elegant final.
