About the original car: In 1999 the best selling 8-cylinder Ferrari family was radically renewed with the arrival of the 360 Modena. The Modena was a completely new car compared to the F355, both from a stylistic and a mechanical point of view. Appearing at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, the car was equipped with a 3586cc engine with 400hp at 8500 rpm. The bodywork and chassis were made of aluminum to keep the weight as low as possible. The transmission was manual but on request it was possible to have the F1 sequential gearbox. The 360 Modena then served as the basis for a whole series of competition versions, from the Challenge for the single-make to the configurations for the GT and endurance championships.
