A beautiful short-lived second edition, therefore very rare! Cap and barrel in black lacquered spiral pattern with 23K gold plated accents. The depth and quality of this finish is the result of these editions being individually lacquered and polished by hand 14 times to a deep luminous glow. Engraved in the gold plated crown is “SHEAFFER U.S.A”. Inlaid 14K/585 solid gold F-nib stamped “SHEAFFER U.S.A. 585 14K”. The pen uses a Sheaffer converter or Sheaffer ink cartridges (included). Ballpoint pen, with twist mechanism, has never been used and is provided with a functioning Sheaffer ink refill (not dried out due to good storage!) Mechanical pencil, with twist mechanism. has never been used and is still provided with its 3 spare refills + unused eraser. Refills for this ballpoint pen + mechanical pencil are easily available on the net or at the better pen shop. I am adding, as a reserve, one extra new original Scheaffer ballpoint refill! The fountain pen has never been inked!
