Dial and Hands
The matte black dial is highly legible, featuring crisp, white sans-serif Arabic numerals and a precise outer minute track. A vertically aligned day window sits prominently below the twelve o'clock marker, balanced by a date aperture positioned above the six o'clock marker. The dial is pristine, showing no visible spotting, moisture marks, surface damage, or discoloration of any kind. The stark white printed text, including the Oris logo, remains sharp and fully intact. The luminous material on the hour dots and the distinctive syringe-style hands exhibits a clean, even tone, complementing the utilitarian aesthetic perfectly and showing excellent preservation.

Case and Crystal
The 40mm stainless steel case is characterized by its robust, utilitarian profile, featuring a predominantly brushed finish across the thick lugs and vertical flanks. A contrasting polished ring surrounds the flat sapphire crystal, adding a subtle touch of refinement to the tool-watch design. The case exhibits honest, age-consistent wear, with minor surface scuffs and handling marks visible on the bezel and brushed sides, though the overall architecture remains sharp and unpolished. Movement
Powering this timepiece is the Oris Caliber 635, based on the reliable ETA 2836-2 architecture, featuring 25 jewels and automatic winding. The movement is proudly displayed through the sapphire caseback, showcasing a beautifully engine-turned rotor clearly stamped with the Oris branding and caliber number. Close inspection reveals the ETA 2836-2 hallmark beneath the balance wheel. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a second hand timepiece. The timegrapher records a deviation of -9 to -11 seconds per day with strong amplitude.

Strap
The watch is fitted with its original stainless steel multi-link bracelet, which perfectly complements the brushed finish of the case. The robust folding clasp is prominently signed with the Oris logo on the exterior, and the interior blades bear the correct ORIS 8 20 50 stamping. The bracelet shows light, normal wear consistent with the case and is sized to accommodate an 18cm wrist.

Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The watch presents beautifully on the wrist, with a flawless dial and well-preserved hands. The stainless steel case and original bracelet show moderate, superficial scratches and scuffs expected from regular, honest wear, but no deep gouges or structural damage. The watch retains its strong factory lines and rugged appeal, making it an excellent candidate for daily enjoyment.
