THE WHO SELL OUT
Adrian George designed the iconic psychedelic promotional poster for The Who's 1967 album The Who Sell Out. This artwork, published by Osiris Visions, was originally included with UK copies of the record and features vibrant, Sixties-style imagery of the band.

The poster exemplifies 1960s psychedelic art with bold colors and surreal elements tied to the album's advertising spoof theme. It measures typical poster size for the era and is held in collections like the V&A Museum in London (accession E.1754-1991).

British artist Adrian George (1944–2021), trained at Harrow Art School and the Royal College of Art, created portraits and illustrations for magazines like The Sunday Times. His Who poster marked an early career highlight amid his work in music, fashion, and travel art.

Original 1967 editions appear at auctions, often yellowed from age but frameable for collectors of vintage rock memorabilia.

What this poster is
It is the psychedelic promotional poster by Adrian George, produced by Osiris Visions and originally included only with the first 1,000 UK Track Records LP pressings of The Who Sell‑Out in 1967.
Copies with the original vinyl and the correct “free psychedelic poster inside” sticker on the cover are regarded as rare and collectible.

The “vibrant colour” and the fact it came with the vinyl are typical of the original 1967 UK insert; later reissues (such as the 2012 vinyl re‑press or 2021 Super Deluxe Edition) have also included replica versions of the same Adrian George poster.

The “vibrant colour” and the fact it came with the vinyl are typical of the original 1967 UK insert; later reissues (such as the 2012 vinyl re‑press or 2021 Super Deluxe Edition) have also included replica versions of the same Adrian George poster. This poster has (authentical) pinholes ( see the pictures which can give a distorting picture in the whole) from the use in the room of a youngster. The poster has the divided lines from the insert of the LP and has some minor craquelé. It will be sent in a tube.
