Rubbing, bumping, and wear to the boards and spine. The leather of the edges of the spine and the corners is quite worn off. Pencil markings on the front flyleaves. There is a small tear in the top of page 571/572 in Vol II. Very little browning and spotting, some smudging, and water staining at the bottom of the pages throughout. The text and illustrations are clear, and the binding is solid. Overall, a copy in very good- condition.
