Armband - 18 kt Gelbgold, Roségold, Weißgold - Seltenes antikes 18K Gold

Rare Antique Gold Bracelet with Figural Narrative Panels Pre-Columbian Revival style, circa 1890–1915 Rare and highly unusual antique gold bracelet composed of articulated rectangular panels, each decorated with finely modeled figural and symbolic reliefs. The panels form a narrative sequence featuring stylized human figures, enigmatic motifs, and maritime imagery, including a sailing vessel with mast, sail, waves, and a celestial body. One of the most striking panels depicts a seated figure wearing a tall, wide-brimmed hat, reminiscent of Andean or South American traditional headwear. Other panels show abstract and symbolic forms that strongly suggest inspiration from pre-Columbian iconography, interpreted through a late 19th to early 20th century artistic perspective. The bracelet is entirely hand-crafted, with excellent articulation and careful detailing throughout. The absence of visible hallmarks is typical for bespoke workshop pieces or export jewelry of the period, especially those created for artistic, ethnographic, or collector-oriented markets rather than mass production. Stylistically, the piece aligns with the Pre-Columbian Revival movement, which was popular among European and American goldsmiths around the turn of the 20th century, inspired by archaeological discoveries in Central and South America. Material: Gold (fineness unmarked) Gold fineness checked by a goldsmith. Technique: Hand-fabricated, sculptural relief, engraved details Period: ca. 1890–1915 Style: Pre-Columbian Revival Origin: Possibly Europe or the Americas, inspired by Latin American cultures Condition: Very good antique condition, with light wear consistent with age and use A rare and visually compelling collector’s piece, seldom encountered on the market, appealing to collectors of antique jewelry, ethnographic-inspired design, and historic revival styles.
