Sheaffer Connaisseur Black set: Ballpoint + Fountain pen 18k/750 golden M-nib. The Connaisseur line was launched in 1986 and was produced until 1996. This Sheaffer is the second version of the Connaisseur, recognizable by the "Sheaffer’s U.S.A. " engraving on the gold-plated cap band. The first version only had the "Sheaffer's" engraving on the clip. The cap and barrel are made of black resin with a 23K gold electroplated finish. The 18K/750 solid gold M-nib is stamped "SHEAFFER’S 18K 750 MADE IN U.S.A." The ballpoint pen, with a twist mechanism, has never been used and is equipped with a functioning Sheaffer ink refill (which has not dried out due to proper storage!). Refills for this ballpoint pen are easily available on the net or at the better pen shop. I am adding, as a reserve, one extra new original Scheaffer ballpoint pen refill! The pen uses a Sheaffer converter (included) or Sheaffer ink cartridges (included). The fountain pen has never been inked!
