This series marks the beginning of Dr Drip’s practice and brought the artist wider recognition. The work reinterprets Damien Hirst’s iconic spot paintings by transforming the static grid into dripping circular spots. The original structure remains implied, while gravity introduces movement and disruption. Dr Drip steals like all great artists do. The piece reflects the defining elements of the series: controlled use of color and a system-based composition governed by gravity. ABOUT THE ARTIST Dr Drip is an artist with a background in graffiti and street art, which informs the conceptual and material approach of this series. Dr Drip operates under an alter ego and presents this body of work exclusively on this platform. Works from this series are not available elsewhere. Small accidental drips or irregularities are inherent to the process and are considered part of the artwork. SHIPPING & PACKAGING The artwork is securely shipped between rigid cardboard panels and includes a letter with framing instructions, along with a certificate of authenticity signed and stamped by Dr Drip. All shipments are carefully packed using high-quality materials and are fully insured. Shipping costs may be slightly higher than average to ensure safety and reliability. COMBINED SHIPPING POLICY Works on canvas and works on paper require different packaging and cannot be combined in the same shipment. If multiple works of the same type are purchased (either all canvases or all works on paper), any excess shipping costs charged by Catawiki will be reimbursed.
