Vase - Bronze, Kupfer, Legierung, Gold - Japan - Takaoka Bronze Zuihō (瑞峰) (Ohne mindestpreis)

Artist: Zuihō (瑞峰) Material: Cast metal (bronze or bronze alloy) & gold leaf Origin: Japan – Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture Period: Showa period (20th century) Condition: good vintage condition. Minor surface variations and patina consistent with age and traditional finishing techniques. No cracks, repairs, or structural damage observed. ─────── This elegant vase is attributed to Zuihō (瑞峰), a metal artist associated with the long-established tradition of Takaoka copperware from Toyama Prefecture, Japan. The form features a softly rounded silhouette, with a gently swollen body that conveys warmth, balance, and a calm presence. The surface is finished in a characteristic blue-green patina, typical of high-quality Takaoka metalwork, and is accented with bold applications of gold leaf. This combination of verdigris tones and gold decoration is particularly popular among works attributed to Zuihō and is regarded as one of his most recognizable stylistic expressions. Although produced during the Japanese Shōwa period, the vase retains a modern and timeless aesthetic, making it suitable for both traditional Japanese interiors and contemporary settings. The vase is accompanied by its original wooden storage box (tomobako). The box bears the inscription 「瑞峰」 (Zuihō), indicating attribution to the artist. The vase itself does not carry a visible maker’s mark on the base, which is not uncommon for works intended for presentation with a signed box. ─────── Included • Vase • Original wooden storage box (tomobako) • Original wrapping paper / leaflet ─────── Dimensions: Height: approx. 17 cm Mouth diameter: approx. 6.5 cm Body diameter: approx. 18 cm Base diameter: approx. 8.5 cm Weight: approx. 2.0 kg ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Shipping • Carefully packed and shipped with tracking. • International shipping via Yamato Transport or Japan Post. • Import duties, taxes, VAT and any other charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
