It is made by the French sculptor Hippolyte François Moreau (1832 - 1927) The sculpture is made of Spelter, signed "François Moreau" and the base is made of Metal The lamp is decorated with beautiful patterns . It is working perfectly Details: Height: 89 cm. Width: 22 cm. Base: 20 cm The sculpture with electric lamp is in excellent condition with some small traces of aging( see photos) The photos complete the description. Please take time to study them carefully before bidding It will be carefully packaged and sent by registered mail (insured and with track & trace) Hippolyte Francois Moreau is a French sculptor for its bronze statuettes of young women. Born in 1832 in Dijon in France, son of the famous sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau, he grew up learning in his father's workshop. Young man, Moreau moved to Paris to study with Francois Jouffroy at the National School of Fine Arts, exhibited for the first time at the Salon of French Artists in 1863 and continued to present his works there until 1914. Both in 1878 and in 1900, he won medals for his large-scale decorative works, vases and statuettes, which he shows at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. Among his famous sculptures, there was his 1880 statue of the French mathematician Alexis Clairaut, who is now part of one of the facades of the city of Paris. He died in 1927 in Neuilly-sur-Seine in France and today most of his works appear at the Museum of Fine Arts in Dijon.
