This piece embraces pure simplicity, allowing the clean lunar curve itself to make a striking impression. The crescent moon motif was one of the most recognisable in samurai armour, famously worn by Date Masamune. As a waxing moon, it symbolised ambition, growth, and rising fortune. It was also thought to carry protective power, linked to Buddhist celestial guardianship, making it both an emblem of spiritual strength and a bold visual statement.
