Alpha - 24-hour Watch - Ohne mindestpreis - Ref: 5758-11 / Cal. FHF 74 - Herren - 1960-1969

Rare 24-Hour Watch from renowned Swiss watchmaker Schwarz-Etienne This vintage Alpha watch features a true 24-hour movement—the hour hand completes one full rotation per day rather than the standard 12 hours. True 24-hour watches were produced for aviation, polar expeditions, submarine operations, and scientific applications where eliminating AM/PM ambiguity was essential. Produced circa 1960-1970 by the Paul Schwarz-Etienne company of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Alpha was one of several brands operated by Schwarz-Etienne, the Swiss watchmaker founded in 1902. Throughout its history, Schwarz-Etienne supplied movements to prestigious names including Chanel, Dunhill, and Mauboussin. Today, it continues as an independent manufacture, producing movements for brands like Ming. Cosmetically, the watch has developed an honest patina, with age-related spotting and darkening of its dial and some oxidation of the original dauphine hands and appliqué markers. All printing remains legible. The gold-plated case is in relatively good condition, though markings on the caseback have faded. Inside, the modified FHF Cal. 74 manual wind movement is clean and still keeps good time. Fitted with a vintage brown calf leather aftermarket strap. No box or papers. Case size: 33mm excluding crown Lug to lug: 41mm Lug width: 18mm Thickness: 9.3mm Strap length: 18,5cm total *** Cyan Collectibles is collector-run and based in Singapore.
All watches are carefully and securely packed before being shipped, insured and tracked.
For the standard shipping fee charged, most watches will be shipped by global courier FedEx or its equivalent. In rare instances when this is not possible, shipping will be international registered parcel post with limited tracking.

Do note that your country of residence may impose customs and import duties.
Handling charges levied by couriers for customs processing - usually minor - will be the responsibility of the buyer. Shipments to the US have become increasingly problematic and slow following the Trump administration’s uneven application of new import restrictions. Expect delays and additional shipping costs. Please examine the photos before bidding, as they form an integral part of the description. Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as described.
