A polycrystalline arsenopyrite plate with green apatite and siderite that was bought at the mine around the late 90s. This piece features a plate of sharp and lustrous arsenopyrite with a siderite backing on which sharp, barrel-shaped apatite crystals are set, which display a gemmy zoned core and excellent glassy luster that can't be compared to the average pieces the mine produces nowadays. This piece comes from the classic Portuguese deposit of Panasqueira, a mine developed to exploit a series of tabular veins of Sn–W mineralization that have produced some of the finest sulfide and fluorapatite specimens in the world and definitely from Europe.
