A fine Viking bronze cross pendant dating to the 9th–11th century AD. The cross is cast with rounded, nodular arms and a distinct raised cross motif at the centre, giving it a striking and symbolic three-dimensional form.
At the top is a small integral suspension loop, allowing it to be worn as an amulet or pendant. The surface has developed a rich green patina, adding to its historic character.
Cross pendants of this type were popular throughout the Viking world, particularly in Scandinavia and the Baltic regions, reflecting the fusion of pagan and Christian beliefs during the early conversion period. They were worn both as protective amulets and as symbols of the new faith.
