1880c Stamped Masonic Antique Brass Thread Counter This is an antique brass folding thread counter magnifying glass, also known as a linen tester or loupe. It was originally used to count the threads per inch in fabric, but we used for inspecting stamps, coins, art, and in printing. It typically dates to the late 19th century 1870 till 1910 The frame is solid brass and folds flat for portability.
