With the Wheat Wine as the basis, it was time for the next step. We know that blonde beer takes on flavors faster than our Grand Prestige and that it is less easy to put pronounced aromas against it. We wanted to create an exceptional beer, but of course not at the expense of the balance and character of the Wheat Wine itself. That's why we looked for beautiful delicate barrels with softer aromas.
Tarwewijn

The suitable counterpart for our Grand Prestige turned out to be a wheat wine, or as they say in America: Wheatwine. There originated in the 80s and still a style that you rarely encounter. Have you ever heard that we call the Grand Prestige a barley wine? This is because the alcohol percentage is comparable to wine, but we brew the beer with grains. Wheat wine is a variation on this, but with a large amount of wheat. We tasted this special style of beer together and the two of us went to the table to see if this could suit Hertog Jan and what he has to meet in our opinion.

We surprise our members with our new Proeftuin beer: Tripel Hop Bitter Fruit. Because the desire to brew a heavy blond beer with pronounced hop aromas has succeeded quite well, we think. Many of you not only enjoy our 'fresh' beers, but also keep them to enjoy at a later date. The most famous example of this is of course our crown jewel the Grand Prestige. This fruity blonde lady, the Tripel Hop, had initially estimated Micha as fresh summer beer to drink. But what turns out? This beer can also be stored well. The flavors evolve beautifully.
Triple Hop
1 bottle - 8,3%
Why not continue on that delicious Tripel Hop from our second Proeftuin edition? For the third Proeftuin beer, we used the Tripel Hop Bitter Fruit as a base to fill fresh lightly toasted bourbon barrels immediately after brewing. Then it is of course exciting how such an experiment turns out. But we promise you that this beer is an adventure for your taste buds and we can't wait for your gourmet judgment.
