Period: circa 1960s–1970s The famous Apponyi pattern was originally created at the request of Count Albert Apponyi and was first presented at the 1867 Paris World Exhibition, where Herend tableware in this decoration was used at the banquet held in honour of Emperor Franz Joseph at the Élysée Palace. The pattern is derived from an enlarged detail of the Indian Basket (Fleurs des Indes) motif. Condition: Very good overall condition. The rose finial on the Waldstein bonbonnière has one small chip (visible in the last photo), which does not significantly affect its appearance or value. All other pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restorations. The photographs form an integral part of the description.
