Omega - Seamaster 30M - 125.003-62 - Herren - 1962

Offered here is a highly original and well-preserved Omega Seamaster 30 reference 125.003-62, produced circa 1962–63, powered by the celebrated Omega Calibre 269 manual-winding movement, one of the finest and most refined evolutions of Omega’s legendary 30 mm movement family. This reference belongs to the larger-case Seamaster 30 generation, distinguished by its 37 mm diameter, a size considered ideal by today’s collectors and notably less common than the smaller 34–35 mm variants. Conceived as a refined yet robust everyday watch, the Seamaster 30 perfectly embodies Omega’s philosophy of understated precision during the early 1960s. Case: The watch features a stainless steel case with a stainless steel snap-on case back, internally signed. The case measures 37 mm in diameter excluding the crown (approximately 39 mm including the crown), with a lug-to-lug length of approximately 42 mm, a lug width of 18 mm, and a total thickness of approximately 10 mm including the crystal. The case retains strong original geometry with clean lug definition and shows only honest, age-consistent wear, without signs of excessive polishing. Dial: The original silver dial displays a natural and evenly developed vintage patina. It is fitted with applied silver Arabic numerals, original silver dauphine hands, and a sub-seconds register at 6 o’clock, and is correctly signed “Omega Seamaster 30.” The dial is unrestored and exceptionally well preserved, offering excellent legibility and a balanced, highly authentic mid-century aesthetic. Movement: Inside is the manual-winding Omega Calibre 269, featuring 17 jewels. The movement bears serial number 20,216,960, dating its production to circa 1963, fully consistent with the 1962 case reference. The Cal. 269 represents the final and most refined generation of Omega’s historic 30 mm calibres, renowned for their durability, precision, and long-term serviceability. Crystal, Crown & Strap: The watch is fitted with a plexiglass crystal and an original signed Omega crown. It is presented on a new, high-quality handmade genuine leather strap with an 18 mm lug width. Condition: Professionally serviced. Running strong and keeping accurate time. Overall very attractive vintage condition with honest signs of wear appropriate for a nearly 60-year-old timepiece. Why This Watch? * Sought-after large-case 37 mm Seamaster 30 * Original, unrestored silver dial with applied Arabic numerals * Classic sub-seconds configuration, favored by collectors * Legendary Cal. 269 manual movement from Omega’s golden era * A discreet yet technically significant example of early-1960s Omega design.
